Before I start, I want to warn you, this is not some motivational nonsense. I do not care about moving your emotions and trying to get you to take action, but I do care about telling the truth.

Did you know, a lot of people are not where they want to be in life? You might be one of them. It’s beneficial to occasionally reflect on our lives and contemplate things.

Embracing Responsibility:

You do not have to feel like a failure, but you do have to accept that you are where you are due to decisions (or indecisions) of your past. Although it’s better to learn from the mistakes of others, I think it’s okay to learn from your own, as long as the price is not too heavy.

Defining Goals and Managing Time:

One of the best ways to reach your goals is to know what you want and then manage your time effectively. I’ll give you an example: You can’t talk about wanting to lose weight and all you do is eat McDonald’s. It just doesn’t make sense, right? But that was a terrible example. I’ve got another one: You can’t talk about improving your skill, and all you do in your spare time is play games and watch tv.

Acknowledging Societal Constructs:

You may say a huge percentage of people work for a company because they have to, they fundamentally have no choice. You may even go further to say, do you really think people want to stand all day and beep one product after another? I would agree with you. I would say what you think is true. The idea that we are completely free can be debated. Fundamentally nobody is free, everyone has to work to make ends meet, the system is designed like that.

Embracing Reality:

But one shouldn’t blame their government or external factors for where they are in life. This is the difference between the masses and the few. They have to think as if they are where they are because that’s where they really want to be. This type of thinking is needed to change human psychology. This type of thinking will empower you.

Things like access to education and opportunities will always be given to those born into a more affluent social class. This is something true and should not be dismissed. But do not be entitled, for life does not owe you anything. You were not born into that class, this entitlement should not exist in your head.

Did you know when a crazy person accepts that they are crazy, they become sane?
